PRIVACY NOTICE FOR USERS

Pursuant to Art. 13 of EU Regulation No. 2016/679 (“GDPR”), we inform you that personal data provided will be processed in accordance with current legislation, and any operation involving them will respect principles of correctness, lawfulness, transparency, and confidentiality.
Definitions
The term “user” refers to private individuals who access Sonar’s streaming content or other services on the platform. The term “operators” refers to theatre companies, venues, and all entities using Sonar’s services professionally.
2. Data Controller
The Data Controller is “Straligut Associazione Impresa Sociale” Tax ID 92041170520, VAT No. 01163570524, represented by its pro tempore legal representative Francesco Perrone, headquartered in Monteroni d’Arbia (SI), Ponte a Tressa fraz., Via Villa Canina 63/a (hereinafter the “Association”).
3. Purpose and Legal Basis of Processing
Your data, provided with your consent, will be used to ensure the operation of Sonar, an online platform dedicated to Italian theatre, aimed at promoting emerging theatre companies and new theatrical languages. Sonar also enables circulation and sales of works both traditionally and via streaming (live and on-demand). The platform processes your personal data to fulfill your specific requests, including contract stipulation and execution (including payments via external banking circuits and invoicing software) and participation in In‑Box and In‑Box Verde calls (with possible publication of your work on www.inboxproject.it).
For Sonar users, the data are necessary to view streaming content (paid or free). Personal data will also be processed to comply with legal obligations, including those related to public or private funding agreements.
For promotional activities or internal notifications via email, data will only be used if explicit consent is given.
Processing of data provided via forms (“Login to Sonar”, “Register”, “Subscribe to Newsletter”) or emails to “Contacts” or sonarmap@straligut.it is essential to the service. Without this data, registration and service access is impossible (Art. 13.2.e GDPR).
4. Processing and Storage Methods
Data are processed manually and/or electronically in compliance with Art. 32 GDPR on security measures. Processing includes collection, registration, organization, storage, consultation, modification, selection, retrieval, comparison, use, interconnection, limitation, disclosure, deletion, and destruction. Processing is performed only by authorized, trained personnel at the Association’s registered office and by any external Data Processors listed and accessible via the website or Association HQ.
5. Scope of Communication and Disclosure
Data will not be disclosed or communicated without your consent, except when necessary to fulfill statutory activities and legal obligations, which may involve transferring data to public or private entities.
6. Data Transfer
Your data will not be transferred outside the EU, except for contractual performance reasons and in compliance with Art. 44 et seq. GDPR.
7. Retention Period
In accordance with principles of lawfulness, purpose limitation, and data minimization (Art. 5 GDPR), personal data will be retained only as long as necessary:
No more than 24 months from collection or newsletter unsubscription for promotional/internal email purposes.
Contract-related data and call participation data will be retained as long as required by fiscal law.
8. Automated Decision-Making and Profiling
The Association does not adopt any automated decision-making, including profiling, as per Art. 22 GDPR.
9. Rights of Data Subjects
Under Articles 15–22 and 77 GDPR, you have the right to:
Request confirmation of processing and access to your personal data;
Obtain information on processing purposes, data categories, recipients, retention period;
Request rectification or deletion of data;
Request limitation of processing;
Receive your data in a structured, common, machine-readable format and transmit them to another controller;
Object to processing at any time;
Object to automated decision-making, including profiling;
Withdraw consent without affecting prior lawful processing;
Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority;
Seek judicial remedy.

Infrastructure Monitoring
These services monitor site usage to improve performance and functionality; data processed depend on implementation and filter user activity.
Matomo Analytics with Anonymized IP
Matomo tracks site usage anonymously on servers owned by the Controller. IPs are anonymized before storage; data remain internal and not shared externally. Personal data collected: cookie & usage data. Data processed: EU.
Social Network and External Platform Interactions
Social widgets collect interaction and traffic data under the user’s social settings. Data may be captured even if widgets are unused.
YouTube widget (Google Inc.): cookies & usage data; processed in USA – Google Privacy Policy.
Maps widget (Google Inc.): same.
Vimeo video (Vimeo, LLC): cookies & usage data; processed in USA – Vimeo Privacy Policy.
Bunny.net video (BunnyWay): cookies & usage data; processed in EU – Bunny.net Privacy Policy.
How to Control Cookies
You can manage or delete cookies via browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). Note: disabling cookies may impair site functionality. For third-party services, exercise opt-out via their privacy policies or Your Online Choices. The Controller recommends combining this resource with this notice.
Extended Cookie Notice
Controller: Straligut Associazione Impresa Sociale. Data used only for technical purposes and not sold. Denying cookies will not impair site functionality. Under Art. 13 GDPR, you have rights under Articles 15–22 and 77 GDPR.
As third-party cookie installation cannot be controlled by the Controller, references to specific cookies/tools are indicative. For details, consult third-party privacy policies.
